The Green-Eyed Devil

Some beings come into existence plain and simply evil, its nature’s way of balancing out the universe. For every angel, there must be a demon. For every act of good, there must be an act of malice. For there to be a god, there must be a devil.

For over four hundred years, the vampire Jasmine aimlessly went through life killing at will. On a foggy day in the early 1920s London, she came across a very pissed off mystic, on account of murdering the last of his human blood line, and found herself in a life or death battle. Jasmine barely defeated the powerful mystic, named Myron, before draining his blood and power inside of her.

Jasmine later found out that Myron was the leader of The Council of Immortals, a government of sorts for supernatural creatures, and they have put a bounty on her head, making her number one on The League of Venators, the Council’s trained warriors, hit list.

After eighty years of being hunted by the Venators, and feared by the other Children of Malevolence, Jasmine befriended a young mystic named Angelica, who Jasmine saved from a pack of werewolves. The Council learned of Jasmine’s affections for Angelica and decided to use Angelica as a tool to capture Jasmine.

The Council kidnapped Angelica, and offered Jasmine a trade, her life for Angelica’s life. Jasmine accepted the deal. She was tried and found guilty by the Council. Her punishment: two centuries of torture before being burned to death.

Three years into her sentence, Jasmine is taken before the Council Presidents and given a proposition. A very dangerous threat has returned to cause panic in the Council. The ancient god Apollo has converted countless Children of Malevolence into his legion. The Council presidents offer Jasmine an opportunity to escape the fires waiting for her, along with a way out for Angelica, who is serving a century imprisonment. If Jasmine refuses the offer, the presidents threaten to kill Angelica. Reluctantly, Jasmine accepts their offer to hunt down the ancient god Apollo, with the help of three Venators. A vampire named Alexis, a lycanthrope named Raffaele and a mystic named Cayman.

Now the fate of the world lies in the hands of a creature known as the green-eyed devil!

Morality!

Have you ever tasted the blood of a virgin? Have you ever feasted on the liquid essence of a whore? Have you ever drained the life from a man of faith? Have you ever slaughtered a family of thieves? I have, and I tell you, there is no difference between any of them. Blood is blood. Purity. Filth. Clean. Unclean. Morality. Nothing but words used by the powerful to control, or condemn, the weak, a way to show superiority, when in reality, they are all inferior. Humans are no more than cows, or chickens, depending on your palate, for the immortals, the true masters of the universe, the creatures living in the shadows waiting for their opportunity to gorge on their human delicacies.

Darkness!

I think I've always craved darkness, even before I lost my salvation. Even before the monster was released inside of me, or, maybe the monster had been there all along, waiting for the moment when it would be unleashed onto the world. Maybe it sought the darkness. Maybe it’s craving for nothingness led me to my damnation. No matter how it came to be, darkness had replaced my soul.

Pain!

Actually, I fell in love with pain. Causing it of course, not feeling it as I am. Any moron can kill, but to cause pain, misery, suffering, and then at the moment when your victim can take no more, at the moment when they long for the mercy of death... to cause a little extra before devouring them completely. That's majestic. That's true malevolence. That's artistry. Something my captors know a lot about.
